http://www.doa.state.wi.us/jobs/pdf_files/WIbenefits.pdf.Job Duties:   The Construction Coordinator Supervisor’s main job function is the supervision and administration of Construction Representatives and Contract Oversight Consultants who are involved in the construction phase of the State Building Program. The incumbent supervises staff who may be at remote locations throughout the State to assure that proper action is taken so that projects are constructed in accordance with the project documents, within budget and in schedule. This position is responsible for assignment of projects, workload and geographic responsibilities to staff, involved in recruiting, testing and assisting the Section Chief. This position is also responsible for the discipline, evaluation and development of personnel. This position is in the Bureau of Architecture and Engineering, Project Delivery Section and is under the general supervision of the Section Chief. This work includes multiple projects at various locations with a wide range of complexity.

  Some travel for site visits will be required. A valid Driver’s License is required.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  This position requires expertise in performing construction inspection, ability to read and interpret building and building system plans, details, schedules and specifications, familiarity with plumbing, fire protection, building automation and electrical building systems, State of Wisconsin Codes relating to those systems, materials and methods of construction. In addition, this position requires organizational, supervisory, and management skills, experience in data management and development of reports, knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet computer software, and ability to organize, evaluate and present information effectively.
